History
This site collects together resources and information from two now-retired WordPress blogs.
I was one of first academics in the UK to teach my students how to represent themselves professionally online. I may well then have been the first academic to develop and run my own training for staff, showing them both how to develop their own professional online presence, and to teach this material to their own students.
I was also able to gain funding to convert the resources into podcast format - and to learn podcasting. I produced two blogs, one with the resources, and one discussing the process I'd used to develop them and reflecting on what I'd found out during that process (the actual recording the podcasts was the easy part - there were no shortage of other technical challenges to solve).

This companion blog captured the 2013–2014 production process. This included: planning, tooling, hosting decisions, iTunes submission, and dissemination via a digital poster and short video. The archived PDF compiles the posts made during my work on the Higher Education Academy (HEA) ‘Changing the Learning Landscape’ project.
I'm Still Learning!
This new static site archives much of the original material, without the overhead (and security risks) of using WordPress. I've also used this opportunity to refresh some of my own web development skills, with the help of ChatGPT, and to try to work on a fast and mobile friendly site.
The site is hosted using Cloudflare Pages, all pushed from a private Github repo. At some point, I may come back and do some more work on the site, but I hope this information is useful for now.
